Vestry

The Vestry is the legal governing, leadership,
and planning body of the parish. They have responsibility for the fiscal
oversight and operation of the parish and the maintenance of all its physical
property. They are also responsible for the oversight of the pastoral
relationship. Its purpose is to speak for and represent all members of
the congregation as it oversees and makes decisions concerning the temporal
and, in concert with the Rector, the spiritual well being of the church.

The Vestry consists of officers and
members, as reflected below, who are elected by the voting members of the
Parish at the Annual Parish Meeting each January. To carry out its work,
the Vestry is comprised of and is supported by a number of standing and
ad hoc committees. The Vestry meets in regular session on the third Wednesday
of each month at 7 p.m. in the Parish Center Conference Room. Vestry meetings
are open to all members of Saint John's. |
